Once there was a little boy named Timmy. Timmy lived in a cozy cottage by the tree. He loved to play and sing with glee, but sometimes he felt lost. One day, he asked his mom, "What does used to mean?"
His mom smiled and said, "Oh my dear, it means something that was once near. Like how we used to go to the fair, and eat cotton candy without a care!" Timmy's eyes grew wide, he loved the fair's bright lights. He began to think of all his delightful heights.
Timmy thought hard of things he had done. He used to ride his bike in the sun. He used to climb trees so very high, and look down at the birds that flew by. Each memory made him feel so bright, it filled his heart like a warm light!
His mom said, "Used to also means what’s gone. Like when you were young, so small and drawn. You used to crawl and play on the floor. Now you run and laugh, and play evermore!" Timmy giggled, he liked to hear, all the magic that memories could bear.
That night, as Timmy lay in bed, he thought of all that his mom had said. Tomorrow, he would make new memories too! With all the things that he could do! He would ride his bike, and climb so high, and watch the clouds float in the sky.
Timmy dreamed sweet dreams of the fun he would have. He could see all the people he loved and a big, friendly bear named Jave. Together they'd play and dance all day, using memories of the past, in their joyful way.
Morning came, and Timmy jumped up fast! He couldn't wait to make memories that would last. He dashed outside, feeling so free, knowing that used to would always be a key!
He rode his bike down the sunny lane, waved to the birds and felt no pain. He climbed tall trees with leaves that swayed, full of laughs from the games they played.
At the end of the day as the sun set low, Timmy came home with a big happy glow. He shared with his mom, "Today was the best! I made new memories and gave my heart a rest!"
His mom hugged him tight, and said with a wink, "Remember my dear, in life, take a blink. From what you used to, you learn and you grow. Each day is a chance to make a new glow!"
