Once upon a time, a hungry traveler came to a small village. He wore worn-out clothes and had a big smile. The sun shone brightly as he walked along the dusty road.
The villagers saw him and frowned. They had little food and didn’t want to share. The traveler took a big breath and smiled wider. He had a clever plan in mind.
He found a big pot and filled it with water. Then he put a shiny stone inside. The villagers gathered around, curious about what he would do next.
"I am making stone soup!" he said with glee. "Just wait and see! It will be tasty, I promise!" One villager scoffed, but another was intrigued.
The traveler stirred the pot, and the smell began to rise. The villagers smelled it too and looked at each other with wide eyes. "Maybe we could add something, just a little piece?" one said at last, hoping for some release.
A woman brought some carrots, crisp and bright. Another man offered potatoes; they were warm and light. Soon each villager brought something tasty, and the pot began to fill with joy so hasty!
The traveler smiled and stirred the pot with delight. Soon, the soup was bubbling, oh what a sight! With each little gift, the soup grew more bold, sour and savory, a treasure untold.
When the pot was full, they gathered in a line. They all shared the soup, which tasted so fine. They laughed and sang, sitting side by side, their hearts full of warmth, their worries aside.
The hungry traveler smiled, his plan was a hit! Together they feasted, they all shared a bit. "Now you see, my friends, the magic of sharing! It makes life sweeter, a joy that is daring!"
From that day on, in the village so sweet, the people all learned that sharing is neat. They lived in joy, with open hearts too, thankful for the traveler who showed them what to do.
