The Lion and the Mouse

Once upon a time, in a big green forest, there lived a mighty lion. He was strong and brave, with a golden mane that shone like the sun. All the animals admired him, but they were also a little scared.

One day, while resting under a tree, the lion accidentally fell asleep. A tiny mouse came along, looking for food. He saw the lion’s big paw and thought it looked soft and warm. So, he climbed right onto it!

The lion woke up with a start! He roared loudly, and the mouse trembled. 'Oh no! I'm in trouble!' thought the little mouse. But the lion was only surprised.

'Why did you wake me up, little mouse?' asked the lion. The mouse squeaked, 'I didn’t mean to! I was just looking for food!' The lion laughed. 'You are small, but you are brave!'

The next day, the lion found himself in a big trap! He struggled and growled, but the more he fought, the more he got stuck. All the animals heard his roars. They were scared to help.

But the little mouse remembered his new friend. He rushed to the lion, and without hesitation, he started to chew on the ropes. 'Hold on, Lion! I'll help you!' he squeaked.

The lion watched in awe. 'How can such a tiny creature help me?' he thought. But he stayed still and let the mouse work.

With a few little bites, the mouse finally chewed through the ropes! The lion was free! 'Thank you, little mouse!' roared the lion, so happy to be free again.

From that day on, the lion and the mouse became the best of friends. They played together and helped each other always. They showed everyone that friendship can be big or small!
