The Enormous Turnip

Once there was a farmer, strong and tall. He planted a tiny seed, thinking it was small. With sun and rain, it grew big and bright. A turnip so huge, what a marvelous sight!

The farmer smiled and said, "Oh dear! It's time to pull it. Come here, come here!" He tugged and he pulled, but it wouldn't budge. That turnip was stuck, solid as a judge.

Next came his wife, so sweet and kind. "Let me help! I won't fall behind!" They pulled and they tugged, but still, it stayed. That big round turnip just wouldn’t obey!

Then came the daughter, with a grin on her face. "Let me help, I'll quicken the pace!" Together they pulled, one, two, three, but the turnip stayed put, as stubborn as could be.

A cat saw them struggling and felt quite bold. "You need my help! I'm clever and old!" The cat joined in with a swish of its tail. But still, that turnip refused to unveil.

Then came a dog, wagging its tail, "I can help too! I will not fail!" They pulled with all their might, but oh dear, the turnip still would not disappear!

A rabbit hopped by, so quick and spry, "Let me join in! I'll give it a try!" They all heaved together, a team so grand, but that poor turnip still wouldn't stand!

Then a tiny mouse squeaked, "I want to play! Let me help too, I won't delay!" With a grin, the farmer said, "Come here, my friend!" They joined paws and pulled, hoping it would end.

With all of them pulling, both big and small, they tugged and they strained, giving it their all. And with one final heave, they heard a loud sound... The enormous turnip popped from the ground!
