Hoppy was a funny little frog. He had bright green skin and big, round eyes. Hoppy loved to jump and play all day long. His best friends, Lily the dragonfly and Benny the turtle, always joined him. They were excited because Leap Day was coming soon!

Hoppy had a big idea. He wanted to teach everyone how to leap high. So, he gathered all his friends together. They made a plan to practice every day leading up to Leap Day. Everyone was excited! They all cheered for Hoppy's great idea!

Every day, Hoppy and his friends met at the big lily pad. They practiced jumping higher and higher. Hoppy would say, “Jump, jump, one, two, three! Let’s leap together, just like me!” They laughed and had so much fun while practicing.

Benny the turtle wanted to try too, but he was slow. Hoppy smiled and said, “Benny, just leap like me. You can do it, just wait and see!” Benny took a deep breath and tried to jump high. With a big splash, he fell in the water! Everyone giggled.

Lily cheered, “You did great, Benny! Try again, and you will see! Keep practicing, and soon you’ll leap like me!” Benny smiled and said, “Okay, I’ll keep trying with glee!” They all took turns jumping, splashing and laughing away.

As Leap Day grew closer, the friends worked together. Hoppy taught them all a special chant: “Leap high, leap far, with joy in our heart! Together, we leap, we play, we start!” They grew excited for Leap Day to arrive!

Finally, Leap Day was here! The sun was shining, and the pond sparkled bright. Hoppy and his friends lined up on the big lily pad. “Are you ready to leap?” Hoppy shouted with delight!

They took a deep breath and leaped together. “One, two, three, hop! They all jumped high into the blue sky. Hoppy leaped like a superstar! Splashes of water flew everywhere, and they giggled and cheered with joy.

Hoppy felt proud of all his friends. They had worked hard and practiced every day. Hoppy said, “It’s not just about jumping high; it’s about having fun every way!” They all smiled, feeling happy toward the pond.

That evening, Hoppy and his friends celebrated with a big feast. They danced and sang under the twinkling stars. Hoppy learned that Leap Day was wonderful, especially when shared with good friends!
