Mia and her mother go to the supermarket every week. Today, Mia is helping her mom make the shopping list. "How many apples do we need?" Mia asks, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. Her mom smiles and replies, "We need 6 apples, dear." Then, they giggle together, imagining a fun, fruity pie they might bake soon!
Next, Mia says, "How much milk do we need?" Her mom thinks for a moment and answers, "We need 2 liters of milk." Mia nods and writes it down, feeling proud. She can almost taste the creamy milk in her favorite cereal!
Mia picks up some bread and asks, "How much bread should we buy?" Her mom says, "Just 1 loaf of bread." Mia grins widely, knowing they will have toast for breakfast. The thought of spreading butter on warm toast makes her tummy rumble!
As they continue shopping, Mia looks at the bananas and asks, "How many bananas should we get?" Her mom replies with a laugh, "We need 5 bananas!" Mia loves bananas because they are sweet and yummy. She imagines making a smoothie with her mom later.
Mia points to the rice and asks, "How much rice do we need?" Her mom says, "We need 1 bag of rice." They discuss how rice is perfect for their special stir-fry dinner. Mia's eyes light up at the thought of the colorful vegetables they can add!
The shopping list is getting long now, and Mia checks it once again. "How many eggs do we need?" she asks. Her mom replies, "We need 12 eggs." They giggle because eggs mean they can make a big breakfast full of happiness and love!
Finally, with the list done, they head to the check-out line. Mia says excitedly, "We have all the things for great meals!" Her mom agrees, "Yes! We'll cook together and make fun memories!" Their hearts are full of joy, ready for the week ahead.
The cashier scans the items. They chat about the things they bought. Mia says, "I love our shopping trips, Mom!" Her mom smiles, "Me too, Mia! They are always fun with you!" As they leave, Mia feels proud of helping her mom.
Outside, the sun shines brightly. Mia skips alongside her mom, holding the shopping bags. She loves spending time with her mom. Every trip is an adventure filled with learning and laughter!
When they get home, Mia helps put the groceries away. She recalls all the fun things they will make. "Let’s have a big family dinner!" she exclaims. Her mom hugs her and replies, "Yes! Let the cooking fun begin!"
