Tom Thumb was just a wee little lad. He was tiny and small, it made others mad. No bigger than a thumb, he was full of dreams, And he longed for adventures, or so it seems.
One day, he set off with a heart full of cheer, To explore the grand world and see what was near. Through the tall grass, he marched, so brave and so bold, With courage in his heart, and a spirit of gold.
He soon came upon a giant, oh so tall, With a booming, deep voice that echoed through all. 'What brings you here, tiny one?' the giant did scoff, But Tom stood up proud and said, 'I won’t back off!
With a clever little plan, he thought on his feet, He tricked the big giant with a plan oh so sweet. 'I’m not afraid of you!' shouted Tom with a grin, And the giant looked puzzled, his patience wearing thin.
Tom zipped and he zoomed, like a flash in the night, The giant gave chase but couldn’t catch sight. Tom led him a dance, through the forest so wide, Until he found shelter where he could hide.
Next he met a fox, sly and quite smart, Who tried to outwit him and tear him apart. But Tom, clever Tom, turned the tables around, Outsmarting the fox, he stood his ground.
With each little battle, Tom grew in might, Proving that size isn’t always the right fight. He danced with the fairies, and shouted with glee, For he knew he was special, and brave as can be.
After many grand journeys, Tom found his way home, No longer a little boy set out to roam. He realized his worth, though small in his frame, That courage and wit can lead to great fame.
So whenever you feel small, or out of the game, Remember dear Tom Thumb, he’s just the same. For greatness is found in each and every heart, And tiny can shine, playing a vital part.
