Once in the deep blue sea, lived a mermaid named Mira. Mira had shiny hair like golden rays, and her tail sparkled in shades of green and blue. She loved to swim and play, but she longed for what lay beyond the waves. Her heart dreams of land and sky, oh, how they made her sigh!

Mira swam to visit the wise old octopus, Ollie, for help. "I want to walk on land!" she cried with glee. Ollie scratched his head, then said with a frown, "You must be brave; it won't be easy to turn around." He told her about a magic potion, hidden near a rock, guarded by a fierce old shark.

With courage in her heart, Mira set off on her quest. She dodged seaweed and bright fish, putting her skills to the test. At last, she found the potion, glowing bright like the sun. "Drink this, and your legs will be won!" said Ollie, full of cheer, but be warned, my dear!

Mira took a sip, feeling funny and strange, as her tail transformed, a magical change. Now she had legs, but her voice was gone. This was the price to see the dawn! With excitement in her chest, she swam to the shore, ready for adventure and so much more!

As she stepped on land, the sand felt warm, like a blanket of happiness keeping her warm. She danced around, so joyful and free, until the handsome prince called her, "Come play with me!" He was kind and brave, with laughter so bright, together they chased the waves under the moonlight.

Days turned to weeks, and Mira felt torn, for loving the prince, was a love newly born. But darkness loomed; the waves began to call. Mira knew her sacrifice might lead to a fall. So she whispered her hopes to the wind above, hoping a chance would guide her to love.

The prince found her beauty and dismissed her true heart. All she wanted was to be from the start. Feeling lost, Mira cried, releasing a tear, when Ollie appeared and said, "Do not fear! Your true voice lies within, you must believe! Love is a journey, but you must be free!"

With newfound strength, Mira spoke from her heart, and the waves began to rush, shaking the parts. The ocean's song flowed through her like a stream, bringing back the voice she'd longed for in her dreams. With love in her eyes, she shared her plea, and the prince understood; he wanted her just to be!
