"Why do you always have to be so annoying?" Jake said with a frown. His younger brother, Sam, crossed his arms and shot back, "I'm not annoying, I'm just better!" The two brothers, aged 19 and 18, were in their backyard, surrounded by tall trees and colorful flowers. They were supposed to be playing basketball, but their playful rivalry turned into a full-on battle of feelings. As they argued, little did they know how much they cared for each other underneath the teasing. "Why can’t you just admit that I always win?" Sam laughed, trying to lighten the mood, but Jake rolled his eyes and pretended to ignore him.
As the game continued, their laughter echoed through the yard, mixing with the quiet rustle of leaves. "You know, Jake," Sam said between breaths, "I’m glad we’re brothers. You may be the older one, but I look up to you!" Jake paused, his heart warm. "Really?" he asked, surprised. "Of course! Even if you’re a big brat sometimes!" With a playful shove, they both tumbled to the grass, giggling. It was moments like these that reminded them how strong their bond was, no matter the fights or rivalries. They were brothers, and that meant everything.
