Sehar was a cheerful six-year-old girl who loved to play. One sunny afternoon, she was at the park with her friends Umesh and Ashwati, and her cousin Abeer. They were building a big sandcastle. Abeer asked, “Can I help?” But Sehar frowned and said, “You’ll ruin it!” Abeer walked away, feeling sad.
Later, Sehar was playing with her two dogs, Sky and Sasha. Sky accidentally knocked over her toys. “Bad dog!” Sehar yelled. Sky lowered his ears and hid behind Sasha. Ashwati said gently, “Sehar, words can hurt. Let’s try speaking with kindness.” Sehar thought about that. She ran to Abeer and said, “I’m sorry for being rude. Can you help me with the sandcastle?” Abeer smiled. At home, Sehar hugged Sky, saying, “I’m sorry, Sky. You’re the best dog ever!” They were all happy.
