Madelyn’s Different Eyes

Madelyn was a little girl with eyes that sparkled like stars, but they were different from everyone else's. One day, while skipping to school, she heard a mean boy say, 'Look at her strange eyes! They’re so weird!' Madelyn felt a tear roll down her cheek, but she tried to smile. 'I just want to be me,' she whispered, feeling alone.

At school, Madelyn faced the whispering and the pointing fingers. Her classmates giggled as she entered the classroom. 'Why are you staring at me?' she asked, her voice trembling. The teacher, Mrs. Brown, noticed and said, 'Everyone deserves kindness. Madelyn's eyes are special. Let’s appreciate our differences!'

After class, Madelyn sat on a swing, feeling small. She thought about her eyes and how they were different. Suddenly, her best friend, Mia, came running over. 'Hey, Madelyn! I love your eyes! They’re like magical jewels!' Madelyn smiled. Mia's words warmed her heart. 'You really think so?' she asked.

Mia nodded vigorously. 'Absolutely! Your eyes are unique, just like you! You should be proud!' Madelyn took a deep breath and decided to embrace the difference. 'Okay, I will!' she declared, her spirit beginning to lift. Together, they played on the swings, giggling and swinging high into the sky.
