One day, John was resting under an apple tree. Suddenly, an apple fell on his head.

It was a delicious, red apple. After he finished eating it, John saved its seeds.
John took the seeds to his garden and sowed them. He spent hours every day taking care of the seeds when they sprouted.
He watered them, put manure around them, and kept all the pests away. His friends made fun of him for spending so much time over a tree.
He continued to look after the apple plant. After some years, it grew into a tree. John sat under the shade of his apple tree and enjoyed eating the delicious apples that grew on it. He smiled at everyone who had laughed at him.
