Daisy was a little duck with big dreams. She lived by a shiny lake and watched the birds soar high in the sky. "I want to fly like them," she quacked, flapping her wings. Her friends laughed, "Ducks don't fly!" But Daisy believed she could.
Every morning, Daisy practiced her flaps. She jumped off rocks and flapped hard. Sometimes, she only flopped into the water. But Daisy never gave up. The other ducks would cheer, "Go, Daisy, go!" They loved her spirit, even if they didn't believe in flying.
One sunny day, Daisy decided it was time for an adventure. She waddled to the tallest hill next to the lake. It was steep, and Daisy felt a bit scared. But her heart raced with excitement. She thought, "I can do this!" and took a deep breath.
With a running start, Daisy sprinted up the hill. She jumped off the edge and flapped her wings as hard as she could. For a split second, she felt like she was flying! The wind ruffled her feathers, and she squealed in joy. Her dream was coming true.
Suddenly, Daisy started to fall. "Oh no!" she cried. But she was falling toward the lake. With a splash, she landed in the water. The other ducks quacked and cheered. They were amazed she had jumped so high!
Daisy swam to the shore, thrilled with her daring leap. "I flew!" she shouted. Her friends were impressed. They said, "You may not have soared like a bird, but you did something brave!" They admired her bravery, even if she never truly flew.
Determined to try again, Daisy practiced every day. She learned to jump from higher rocks and flap her wings with all her strength. Soon, she could glide a little on the water, creating waves of excitement among her friends.
One day, Daisy spotted a beautiful butterfly dancing in the breeze. She wanted to chase it, but it was high up in the sky. "I’ll catch you!" she quacked, running and leaping into the air again. Up she went, flying a little longer this time!
As she landed safely back in the water, she smiled at her friends. "See! I can fly, just in my own way!" The other ducks cheered, and Daisy felt proud. They clapped their wings and admired the brave little duck. "You inspire us all!"
From that day on, Daisy became a legend. She may not fly like the eagles, but she showed everyone that with courage and practice, anything is possible. Daisy taught her friends that believing in yourself is the first step to soaring high.
