Join Lucy and her clever cat Whiskers as they unravel the mystery of the disappearing socks! Together, they set a trap to catch the sneaky sock thief!
Lucy loved her colorful socks. She had socks with stripes and socks with dots. But one day, her socks began to disappear! Lucy looked everywhere, but they were gone. She was sad because she loved her socks.
Lucy had a clever cat named Whiskers. Whiskers was fluffy and loved to play. Lucy told Whiskers about her missing socks. Whiskers twitched his whiskers and came up with a plan.

Together, they set a trap. Lucy took some of her favorite socks and placed them in a box. She hid behind the couch and waited quietly. Whiskers sat beside her, ready to pounce.

Suddenly, they heard a little noise. It was the sound of tiny paws sneaking around. Lucy peeked out and saw shadows moving near the box! She held her breath, excited to catch the thief.

Out popped a little mouse with big ears! He wiggled his nose and grabbed a pink polka dot sock. Lucy gasped, and Whiskers jumped into action!

The mouse squeaked and ran with the sock. But Whiskers was fast! He chased the mouse around the room, making Lucy giggle. The mouse zigzagged and tried to escape.

Whiskers was clever and caught the mouse gently. He was curious and wanted to know why the mouse took the socks. "Why do you need them?" asked Whiskers.

The little mouse explained, "I love to make a cozy bed with soft things! I didn't mean to be a thief, I just wanted to keep warm!" Lucy felt sorry for the mouse.

Lucy smiled and said, "You can have one sock! But you have to promise not to take any more!" The mouse was happy and promised. Whiskers let him go, and they all laughed together.

From that day on, Lucy shared her old socks with the mouse. She had plenty, and her socks were safe. Whiskers felt proud of solving the mystery with Lucy! They were a great team.
