One night, Oliver the owl called out, "Whooo! Whooo!" But he felt lonely. He wanted to play with someone. "Where is everybody?" he hooted softly.
As he looked down from his tree, he saw Olivia the octopus waving from the sea. She had her eight arms wiggling in the moonlight. "Hello, Oliver!" she called out. "Come and splash with me!"
Oliver blinked his big eyes. "Can I swim with you, Olivia? I don’t know how to swim!" he asked with worry, flapping his wings.
Olivia giggled. "Don't worry! I have lots of arms to help you!" She held out one arm. "Just hold on tight!"
Oliver took a deep breath. He flew down and grabbed her arm. They splashed through the waves, laughing and playing. "This is fun!" he shouted.
They swam under the water, exploring seaweed forests. "Look at the fishes, Olivia! They’re so bright and colorful!" Oliver blinked with amazement.
Olivia replied, "You are so brave, Oliver! Let’s dive deeper and meet my friends!" They swam deeper and deeper, discovering shells and sea creatures.
Suddenly, a big wave came! "Hold on tight!" Olivia yelled. They both giggled as they rode the wave like a surfboard!
When the wave calmed, Oliver smiled brightly. "Thank you for the fun, Olivia! I am so happy to have a friend like you!"
As the moon glowed, Oliver flew back home. "Let’s play again soon!" he called. "I will bring snacks!" They both laughed away into the night.
