Bedtime Story
Lucy was flying her kite high in the blue sky. It danced and twirled with the wind, and Lucy was so happy. Her friends watched in awe as the kite soared above the park. Suddenly, a strong gust of wind blew. The kite got tangled in a tall tree! Lucy gasped and her smile faded.
Oh no! Lucy shouted. Her kite was stuck way up high. She felt sad, but she didn’t want to give up. Lucy called her friends, Sam, Mia, and Leo. They rushed over to help their friend. Together, they made a plan to rescue the kite. They held hands and formed a circle, thinking hard about what to do.

Sam had a bright idea. We could use a long stick! he exclaimed. Mia nodded. Yes! Let’s find a stick to poke the kite free! Everyone scattered around the park, looking for just the right stick. Lucy felt hopeful as she watched her friends work together.

After searching for a while, Leo found a stick that was just the right length. Look! he shouted, holding it up. Lucy’s eyes sparkled with excitement! They gathered around the tree where the kite was caught. Sam carefully climbed onto Leo's shoulders so he could reach the kite.

Lucy held the base of the stick while Sam stretched it as high as he could. They pushed and poked at the kite, trying to loosen it from the tree branches. Mia cheered them on, You can do it! Don’t give up! Their voices filled the air with encouragement and hope.

At first, the kite wouldn’t budge. Lucy felt a little worried. But her friends kept trying. Together, they pushed harder. Keep going! They said, their hearts full of determination. Lucy smiled, feeling grateful for her amazing friends beside her.
Finally, with one big poke, the kite set free! It floated down gently, landing right in Lucy’s hands. Hooray! they all cheered. Lucy jumped up and down, her heart bursting with joy. Thank you, everyone! I couldn’t have done it without you!
They all hugged and smiled, feeling proud of their teamwork. Lucy looked up at the sky with her kite in hand, the sun shining bright. You know, this kite was a bit like us, she said. It took a team to rescue it!
They decided to celebrate their victory by flying the kite together. Lucy let it soar high again, and this time it danced even more beautifully. The friends laughed and chased after it in the warm, gentle breeze, feeling happy to be together.
As the sun began to set, they sat in a circle on the grass. They shared stories of their adventure and started to talk about their next big idea. Lucy knew that as long as they worked together, they could do anything!
