It’s Saturday and it’s an exciting day. It’s camel racing day! I often watch camel racing with Dad. ‘Look over there!’ Dad says, pointing at the track. ‘I see a cute camel with long legs and big eyes!’
The sun shines brightly, and we spot many camels. The camels are brown and have long, fluffy hair. ‘Do you think your camel can run fast?’ I ask Dad. He laughs and says, ‘Yes, she does! Her name is Farha!’
As the race begins, the crowd cheers with excitement! I can hardly wait to see Farha race. ‘Go, Farha!’ I shout, jumping up and down. The sound of pounding hooves fills the air as the camels dash forward.
Farha runs fast and leaps ahead, but then, what happens? She suddenly stops! ‘Oh no!’ I say, feeling worried. ‘Why did she stop?’ I look around, searching for an idea.
I have an idea! I remember that Dad has a peach in his bag. ‘Dad, may I have the peach?’ I ask quickly. ‘Of course!’ he replies, handing it me with a smile. I grab my bike and set off towards Farha.
‘Come on, Farha!’ I call, holding the peach up high. She lifts her head and sees it. Her big eyes sparkle with joy. ‘You can do it!’ I cheer her on, pedaling as fast as I can!
Suddenly, Farha spots me and the peach! She starts to run again, faster than ever! ‘Go, Farha, go!’ I yell. The crowd gasps as she speeds up, racing toward me.
In a flash, Farha races past the other camels. She is so fast that it feels like she’s flying! With one final burst of energy, she crosses the finish line first! Everyone erupts with cheers.
I quickly jump off my bike and dash over to Farha. ‘Well done, Farha!’ I say, hugging her neck. I hand her the peach, and she happily munches it. ‘You are the best camel!’
As the sun sets, I wave goodbye to Farha. This was the best camel race ever! I can’t wait for next Saturday to cheer her on again.
