One night, the moon shone bright. A little ghost named Oliver floated around. He was curious about everything! "Hey, guys! Let's play hide and seek!" he called to his ghost friends. They giggled and rushed to find hiding spots, filling the air with laughter.
Oliver flew to the dark basement. He thought it was the perfect hiding place. "They鈥檒l never find me here!" he said, excitedly floating deeper. Suddenly, the ground beneath him creaked. Then it cracked!
"AHHH!" Oliver screamed as he fell into a deep, hidden hole. It was dark and scary inside. He felt alone. "Oh no! Where am I?" he wondered, floating in the darkness.
Hearing his friend鈥檚 cry, the other ghosts rushed to the basement. "Oliver! Where are you?" asked Lily, the kindest ghost. She peeked into the hole and saw Oliver floating above the ground. "I fell into a hole!" Oliver echoed back.
The ghosts huddled together, thinking hard. "We need to get him out!" said Max, the smartest ghost. He scratched his head, trying to think of a clever plan. All the ghosts looked worried but ready to help.
Lily suddenly had a bright idea. "I know! We can make a ghostly chain! If we hold onto each other, we can reach him!" The other ghosts nodded, feeling excited about her idea.
One by one, the ghosts held hands and formed a long chain. They stretched down towards Oliver. "Grab my hand, Oliver!" Max called, reaching as far as he could.
Oliver reached up with all his strength. Their hands touched! With one big pull, his friends lifted him out of the dark pit. "You did it!" Oliver cheered, spinning in joy, hugging them all tightly.
The ghosts laughed and celebrated Oliver's rescue. They danced around the basement, feeling happy. "Let鈥檚 mark this hole! We need to keep it safe!" suggested Lily, and the others agreed eagerly.
From that night on, the ghosts made sure to mark the hole well. They were careful to never play too close to it again. And of course, they continued their favorite game - just with a little more caution!
