Ethan loved old things. He liked to explore every corner of his town. One day, he found a dusty shop. Inside, there were many strange items. Then, he saw an hourglass with beautiful carvings.

The shopkeeper smiled and said, "This hourglass belongs to a traveler who disappeared!" Ethan felt excited. He bought it and took it home. Later that night, he flipped the hourglass, and a magic glow filled the room.
Suddenly, Ethan was in a busy marketplace! People wore old clothes and sold fruits and bread. It looked so real! Ethan was amazed but confused. He tried to talk to the villagers, but they thought he was strange.
Then he remembered the shopkeeper’s words. The hourglass takes you to the time you wish to understand! He had read about this period earlier in the day. He wanted to see it! But now, he just wanted to go home.
Ethan learned he had to complete the hourglass's cycle to return. He ran back to where he arrived. The glowing hourglass was shining brightly. When he flipped it again, he was back home, safe and sound, but the hourglass was gone.
