Ella was a little girl with big, bright eyes. She loved to play in her backyard. The tall trees were her friends. One sunny day, she noticed the leaves were changing colors. They were turning yellow, orange, and red, and she thought they looked like fire!

"Why are you changing?" Ella asked the leaves. The leaves danced in the breeze as if they were happy. One leaf fluttered down and landed in Ella's hand. "We are getting ready for autumn!" it said with a cheerful whisper.

Ella giggled. "Autumn? What is that?" The leaf twirled around her finger. "It is a time of change. We leaves must let go of our branches and dance to the ground!" Ella watched as more leaves joined in their merry dance.

The leaves swirled around her, forming a colorful circle. They told her stories of how they had been green and full of life all summer. Now, they were ready for a new adventure. Ella felt excited!

"What will happen when you fall?" she asked, curious. "Oh, dear Ella," the leaf replied. "We will rest on the ground and help the trees get ready for winter. And, we will return again in spring!"

Ella thought about this. "So, change is good?" she asked. "Yes!" the leaves sang. "Change helps us grow and see new things. Without change, the world would be dull and gray!"

The leaves danced again, swirling and twirling around Ella. They showed her how to sway with the wind. Ella spun and laughed, feeling the joy of the moment. She loved her new friends.

As the weeks passed, Ella watched the leaves fall. She felt a little sad but remembered their words. She understood that change was part of nature. Her heart felt warm knowing the leaves would come back.

On the last day of autumn, Ella sat under the trees. The leaves swayed gently in the breeze. "Goodbye for now! See you in spring!" she shouted, waving with a smile. And the leaves danced a little harder, promising to return.
