Every morning, I wake up with a big smile! "It's school time!" I shout. I put on my shoes and grab my backpack. I walk to school every day with Mary. Mary is my classmate. She is a nice girl with curly hair and bright eyes. We laugh and sing while we walk, making our way to school!
At school, I love to learn. My favorite subject is art. Mary and I sit together in class. "Look at my drawing!" Mary shows me her colorful picture. "Wow! That's so pretty!" I say. I like Mary because she is a good friend. Together, we have fun and learn new things every day.
One day, on our walk to school, we saw a colorful butterfly! It fluttered around us as if saying hello. 'Look, it's dancing!' Mary giggled. We followed the butterfly for a little while, pretending to fly just like it. Our walk felt like an adventure, and we made up stories about where the butterfly lived.
After school, we talked about what we learned in class. 'I learned how to count to ten in Spanish!' Mary said excitedly. 'Wow, that's amazing!' I replied, trying to say the numbers too. We practiced together, laughing when we got them wrong, and cheered when we got them right. Learning with Mary made everything more fun.
As we walked back home, the sky was painted with orange and pink. 'What a beautiful sunset!' Mary pointed out. We took our time, hopping over puddles and waving at neighbors. When we reached our street, we said goodbye with big smiles. I couldn't wait for another day of fun with my good friend, Mary!
