Whiskers was a little gray cat with a fluffy tail. One sunny day, she looked around and couldn't find her mother. She felt sad and alone, so she decided to go on a big adventure to find her. Whiskers knew she had to be brave and look everywhere!
Whiskers walked to the bright flowers in the garden. She sniffed the pretty petals and called, "Mommy, where are you?" But only the butterflies danced in the warm sun. Whiskers smiled at them, but she missed her mom even more now.
Next, Whiskers wandered over to the cool shade of the big tree. There were many birds chirping high up in the branches. Whiskers looked up and said, "Did you see my mom?" The birds sang back, but they did not know where her mother was. Whiskers kept on searching.
Then, Whiskers trotted to the sparkling stream. The water splashed gently, and a friendly frog hopped by. "Ribbit, ribbit!" said the frog. "I’m looking for my mother, have you seen her?" The frog wiggled his nose and said, "I haven’t seen your mom, but keep looking!" Whiskers felt hopeful.
Finally, as the sun began to set, Whiskers heard a familiar sound. It was a soft, sweet meow! She turned around and there was her mother, with a warm smile. Whiskers ran fast and jumped into her mom's soft paws, feeling happy and loved again.
