Titou, the Cloud Who Didn't Want to Rain

Titou was a small, fluffy cloud who lived high in the bright blue sky. He floated lightly, often smiling, but unlike other clouds, Titou didn’t want to rain. "Rain makes everything gloomy!" he thought, watching the world below. He preferred peaceful days, watching kids play and flowers bloom, believing he would ruin their fun if he rained.

As days passed, Titou met his weather friends: Sunny the Sun, Windy the Wind, and Grandmother Storm. "Titou, we need rain!" urged Grandmother Storm. "The rivers and flowers rely on it!" said Windy. But Titou wasn’t convinced. "I don’t want to be sad like the clouds that rain!" he exclaimed, floating away to avoid the conversation.

One day, as Titou floated above a little village, he noticed something troubling. The leaves on the trees were drooping, and the flowers that once danced in the wind now hung their heads low. Even the playful laughter of the children seemed quieter. Titou felt a twinge of concern. Could it be, he wondered, that his refusal to rain was causing more sadness than he imagined?

Just then, Sunny the Sun beamed warmly at him. "Titou, sometimes clouds do what seems sad so that the world can smile again," Sunny explained gently. "Without rain, the flowers can't bloom their brightest, and the rivers can't sing their joyful songs." Titou listened carefully, thinking of the happy faces he loved to watch. Perhaps, he thought, raining wasn't so gloomy after all.

Gathering courage, Titou puffed up his fluffy cheeks and let the raindrops fall, one by one, gently upon the earth. To his delight, the flowers perked up, their petals shining with bright, dewy smiles. The children laughed and danced in the puddles, grateful for the refreshing shower. Titou realized that helping the world bloom with rain was just as beautiful as watching the sun shine. From that day on, Titou proudly rained whenever the world needed his tender touch.
