Once upon a time, in a grand castle, there lived a handsome prince. He wanted to marry a true princess. But how could he know if a girl was really a princess?

The prince decided he needed a clever test. He asked his mom, the queen, for help. She had an idea! They gathered a little pea and many soft mattresses.

That evening, a young girl came to the castle. She said she was a princess. The prince was curious. Was she really a princess?
