In the sunny school courtyard, the teacher smiles at her students. "Do you know how we can avoid dangers on our way to school?" she asks. Sarah raises her hand, her eyes bright. "Yes, teacher! We walk on the sidewalk and look both ways before crossing the street." Mazen giggles, shaking his head. "I don’t wait! I run quickly and cross the street before any cars come!" The teacher's eyes widen, surprised. "Is that safe, Mazen?"
Sarah shakes her head, her voice serious. "Of course not! That’s very dangerous! A car could come suddenly, and the driver might not see you!" Mazen looks worried. "I hadn’t thought about that... What should I do then?" Sarah smiles and says, "We use the crosswalk, wait for the green signal, and cross calmly." The teacher nods. "Excellent, Sarah! And Mazen, you are brave for admitting your mistake. Now, what will you do next time?" Mazen smiles big. "I’ll walk on the sidewalk, use the crosswalk, and pay close attention!" The teacher beams with pride. "Well done! When we stay alert on the road, we become heroes who protect ourselves." The students clap happily, knowing they learned something important.
The next morning, Mazen and Sarah set off on their way to school, their backpacks bouncing on their backs. They walked side by side, chatting and giggling about their favorite cartoons. When they reached the busy street, Mazen stopped and pointed to the crosswalk. "Look, Sarah! We wait for the green signal," he said proudly. Sarah nodded, "Yes! And we hold hands while we cross, just like best friends should."
As they crossed, the cars waited patiently, their engines humming softly. Mazen looked both ways, just like Sarah taught him, and felt a warm glow in his chest. "This is so much safer!" he exclaimed. "It's like a fun game, finding all the safe things to do!" Sarah laughed, "Yes, and we're the best team!" Their excitement grew as they imagined themselves as safety superheroes.
When they reached school, the teacher greeted them with a big smile. "How was your walk today?" she asked. Mazen and Sarah beamed with pride as they told her all about their adventure. "We were very safe and used the crosswalk perfectly!" Sarah added. "That's wonderful," the teacher said. "Remember, every day is an adventure when you're careful and kind!" And with that, Mazen and Sarah dashed into the classroom, ready for another day of fun and learning.
