Mi-Khal was a brave girl. She lived in a small town, filled with friendly faces and colorful houses. One sunny afternoon, while playing outside, Mi-Khal smelled something funny. It was a strong, smoky smell! She looked towards her neighbor's house and saw dark smoke rising high into the blue sky.
Mi-Khal ran quickly to her neighbor's house. She saw flames dancing brightly, and they made a loud crackling sound. Her heart raced, but she remembered what her teacher said about being brave. Mi-Khal shouted, 'Help! Fire! Fire!' She wanted everyone to be safe.
Neighbors rushed outside. Mi-Khal pointed to the fire and told them where it was. They all worked together. Some called for help, while others grabbed buckets of water. Mi-Khal felt proud to help her friends and neighbors.
The firemen arrived quickly with their big red truck. They rushed up to the house, their hoses ready. Mi-Khal watched as the firemen sprayed water all over the flames. The water splashed everywhere, making a loud whooshing sound, and slowly the fire started to calm down.
After what felt like forever, the fire was finally out! Mi-Khal felt a wave of relief wash over her. Everyone gathered around, cheering and thanking the firemen. They were heroes! Mi-Khal smiled, knowing she helped make a difference that day.
That night, as Mi-Khal lay in bed, she thought about the fire. She felt grateful for her neighbors and that everyone was safe. From that day on, Mi-Khal knew she was brave and could help others in need.
