Once upon a time, in a lovely pond, a little duckling was born. He was different from his fluffy brothers and sisters. They were yellow, but he was gray and big. Everyone called him the Ugly Duckling. He felt sad, looking at his reflection in the water.
The Ugly Duckling tried to play with the others, but they quacked and waddled away. "You're too big, you're not one of us!" they said with cries. He wandered off, his heart feeling heavy, wishing to be liked, just once, so very.
He walked through the tall grass and flowers, feeling alone. One day, he saw a beautiful swan swimming so gracefully. "Wow!" said the Ugly Duckling, peeking with wonder. He wanted to join, but he felt too shy and small, in his heart he wondered.
Days passed as the Ugly Duckling grew, searching for a place to fit in. He saw rabbits and cows, and even some sheep, but none of them called him a friend or made a peep. His heart felt heavy, like a rock in his chest, longing for love and a place with the rest.
Then one morning, when the sun rose bright, he saw his reflection, and it was a sight. He gasped in shock, his heart filled with glee. He was a beautiful swan, oh, how could it be? He flapped his wings and soared with all his might, finally free, he took off in flight!
The other animals gasped as he flew high above. They whispered and quacked, realizing their love. They came to him slowly, with eyes opened wide, and the Ugly Duckling knew he no longer needed to hide.
He landed near the pond, where he felt so at home, the other ducks greeted him, no longer alone. "You’re beautiful!" they said, with surprise in their eyes. The Ugly Duckling smiled, oh how he did rise!
No longer was he ugly, but a sight to behold, a swan filled with joy, brave and bold. He swam in the pond, gliding with grace, happy and free in his beautiful place.
From that day forward, the Ugly Duckling knew, that being unique was what made him true. He learned that beauty comes from within, and when you love yourself, that’s where life can begin!
So remember this story, dear friends young and old, it’s not how you look, but your heart that is gold. Be kind to each other, let your true colors shine, for everyone’s special, and you surely are fine.
