Once there was a girl named Mary. She felt lonely in her big, old house. One day, while wandering, she found a door in a wall covered with vines. Mary opened the door and stepped into a garden that was hidden from the world.
The garden was messy and wild. Weeds were everywhere, and the flowers were all dead. It looked like no one had cared for it in years. But Mary smiled, feeling a spark inside her. She wanted to help the garden grow again!
Mary got some tools and started to work. She pulled out weeds and dug in the soil. As she worked hard, the sun shone bright, and soon, tiny green shoots began to appear. Mary felt happy watching the garden wake up from its long sleep.
While working, Mary met a boy named Dickon. He loved plants and animals very much. He had a friendly smile and bright eyes. They became friends quickly. Together, they laughed and worked side by side, making the garden beautiful again.
They also met Colin, Mary’s cousin. He was shy and sick, always inside. But when he heard about the garden, he wanted to see it. With Mary and Dickon by his side, they took Colin to the secret garden, a magical place full of color and life.
Colin was amazed! The flowers bloomed in shades of red, yellow, and blue. The trees stood tall, and the birds sang sweet songs. Colin could not believe his eyes. A smile appeared on his face, and joy filled his heart for the first time in years.
As they cared for the garden together, Mary, Dickon, and Colin became closer. They shared stories, dreams, and laughter. The garden taught them about friendship, and they learned that just like plants, they needed love to grow.
With each sunny day, the garden bloomed more beautifully. They planted seeds, watered them, and watched them reach for the sky. The sounds of laughter filled the air, and the flowers danced in the wind like they were celebrating.
One day, after working hard, they stopped to rest on a bench. Surrounded by blossoms, Mary said, 'This place is a treasure. It made us friends, and it feels like home.' Colin nodded, proud of what they had done together.
The secret garden became a symbol of hope and healing. Mary, Dickon, and Colin learned that caring for nature made them stronger. Together, they transformed not just the garden, but their own spirits too, finding joy in life’s beauty.
