Fadi and Adnan hadn't seen each other in five years since high school. They were catching up and reminiscing about the past.
Fadi had been working in a bank for a year now, in the accounting department. Adnan noticed that Fadi had become more serious-looking, but he seemed happy with his job.
Adnan, on the other hand, had taken over his father's restaurant and got married. Fadi congratulated him and shared that he was getting married next month. He had wanted to finish college and start a career before settling down.
As the two friends drank their lemonade, Adnan suggested that Fadi and his fiancée should come to the restaurant for dinner. Fadi thought it was a great idea and promised to bring her next weekend. They laughed as they remembered how Adnan used to burn toast in their cooking class, wondering if he still did.
Feeling warmed by the memories and excited for the future, Fadi and Adnan promised not to let so much time pass before they met again. They hugged tightly, knowing that true friendship could withstand the test of time. As they walked away, both felt grateful for the paths they had chosen and the bonds they had kept strong.
