The Brave Little Squirrel

Once upon a time, in a big green forest, there lived a tiny squirrel named Sammy. Sammy had fluffy brown fur and a bushy tail that swayed when he ran. He loved to play with his friends, but he had one big fear: heights!

One sunny day, Sammy's friends decided to have a race to the top of the tallest tree. Sammy wanted to join, but fear made his heart race. 'What if I fall?' he thought, watching his friends climb higher and higher.

His best friend, Bella the bunny, hopped nearby. 'Why don’t you join us, Sammy?' she asked, her big floppy ears twitching. Sammy shook his head. 'I’m too scared to climb that high!' he replied, looking down at the ground.

But then, Sammy saw his friend Charlie the chipmunk clinging to a tiny branch. Charlie had slipped and needed help! Sammy's heart raced, not from fear but from the need to help his friend.

Sammy took a deep breath and said, 'I have to be brave!' He looked at the tall tree and decided to climb. Up he went, one small step at a time. 'I can do this!' he cheered, surprising even himself.

As he climbed, Sammy's friends cheered him on. 'You’re doing great, Sammy!' shouted Bella. Sammy felt a little braver with every cheer. The higher he climbed, the less afraid he felt.

Finally, Sammy reached Charlie. 'Hold on, I’m here!' he called. Sammy used his tiny paws to help Charlie get back to safety. Charlie smiled and said, 'Thank you, Sammy! You're so brave!','Sammy felt proud. 'Maybe being small does not mean I can’t be brave!' he thought, looking at his friends cheering him on from below.

When Sammy climbed down, all his friends surrounded him. They jumped and danced with joy. 'You were so brave, Sammy!' they exclaimed. Sammy beamed with happiness.

From that day on, Sammy knew he could overcome his fear of heights. He realized that bravery comes in all sizes, and his heart was as big as his friends' cheers.
