Once upon a time, there was a kind fisherman named Tom. He had a small boat and fished in a big blue sea. Tom would catch fish for dinner, but he always shared with his family. One sunny day, Tom caught a strange fish. This fish sparkled in the sunlight!
The magic fish spoke, "Thank you for saving me! I will grant you three wishes!" Tom was so excited. He thought about all the things he could wish for. He quickly made his first wish: "I want a big, shiny house!" The fish flicked its tail and poof! A house appeared.
Tom couldn't believe his eyes! His new house was beautiful and made of gold! But soon, he felt lonely in his big house. So, for his second wish, he said, "I want lots and lots of money!" The magic fish nodded and poof! Piles of gold coins appeared everywhere.
With all that money, Tom bought more things but never had time to play with his family. They felt sad and missed being with him. Tom realized that his wishes were making him greedy. He thought harder for his last wish before speaking, "I want to be happy again with my family."
The magic fish smiled kindly, "This is the best wish of all." With a flick of its tail, it vanished. Suddenly, Tom's family appeared in his new home! They hugged Tom and laughed. Tom felt his heart fill with joy. He learned that love is more important than gold.
From that day on, Tom worked less and played more. He cherished the moments with his family. They went fishing together and shared their meals. Tom realized that happiness comes from gratitude, not just wishes.
One day, as they fished by the shore, Tom noticed the magic fish swimming nearby! Tom waved happily, and the fish waved back. "Thank you for the lesson!" Tom called out, and the fish splashed in reply as it swam away.
Now, every time Tom saw the shimmering sea, he remembered the magic fish. He was grateful for his family and the time they shared. From then on, every wish he made was for their happiness.
Tom told everyone about the magic fish. It reminded people to be kind and never become greedy. Tom and his family were always together, laughing and playing in their golden home.
And so, the fisherman learned about greed and gratitude, and lived happily, forever grateful, by the shimmering sea.
