One bright morning, a fisherman named Tom cast his net into the sea. He heard a small voice say, "Please, Mr. Fisherman, let me go! I can grow big and tasty!" Tom looked down and saw a clever little fish with shiny scales, flicking its tail. "But why should I trust you?" he asked, scratching his head. The little fish replied quickly, "If you let me swim free, I can bring you treasure from the sea!"
Tom paused for a moment, thinking about the fish's words. But then he smiled and said, "I would rather keep my small catch than take a risk!" He kept the fish in his basket and set off for home. As he walked along the shore, he couldn't help but wonder if he made the right choice.
Just then, Tom met his friend Sam by the shore. Sam laughed and said, 'Why, you've caught the tiniest fish of all!' Tom showed him the clever little fish and told him about the promise of treasure. Sam chuckled and replied, 'Oh, Tom, sometimes the smallest fish have the biggest surprises.'
As Tom continued home, he felt a tugging at his heart. The little fish in the basket wriggled and said, 'Please, Mr. Fisherman, just this once, believe in me!' Tom stopped walking, thinking of the stories his grandmother used to tell about the magical sea.
Finally, with a big sigh, Tom gently placed the fish back into the sea. The clever little fish swam in happy circles and said, 'Thank you, Tom! I promise you won't regret this.' And as Tom watched, the fish leapt high, sending a sparkling seashell right into his hands. Tom smiled, knowing he had made a friend in the sea.
