Freddy was a friendly ghost who lived in a big old house on the hill. He floated through the rooms, watching kids play outside. But Freddy felt sad because he wanted to make friends too! He often hid in the shadows, afraid that he might scare the children.
One day, a brave girl named Lily came to explore the old house. She had bright, sparkling eyes and curly hair that bounced as she walked. Lily was not scared of the dark; instead, she was curious! She wandered through the garden, calling out for anyone to come play.
Freddy peeked from behind a curtain. He saw Lily and felt a flutter of hope. Maybe she could be his friend! But what if she got scared? He decided to watch her from afar, wishing he could find the courage to say hello.
As the days passed, Freddy noticed how kind Lily was to everyone. She would smile at the flowers, help animals, and share treats with her friends. Freddy realized that kindness was the secret to making friends, but how could a ghost show kindness?
One quiet afternoon, Freddy saw Lily sitting alone on a swing, looking sad. He wanted to help but was too afraid to show himself. So, he floated over to the swing and gently pushed it back and forth. Lily's frown turned into a smile!
Freddy felt happy to see her smile, but he wanted to do more. He found some flowers in the garden and began to arrange them into a beautiful bouquet. With his ghostly hands, he made it perfect, shimmering with a soft glow.
When the bouquet was ready, Freddy nervously brought it to Lily. He floated slowly, hoping not to frighten her. As he approached, he whispered, ‘This...is for you.’ To Freddy’s surprise, Lily gasped but then laughed joyfully.
‘Wow! A magical bouquet!’ she exclaimed, her eyes wide with wonder. ‘Thank you!’ She loved the flowers, and she could see that the ghost was not scary at all. Freddy felt a warm glow of happiness inside; it was the start of their friendship!
From that day on, Freddy and Lily played together every day. They would explore the garden, play hide-and-seek, and tell stories. Freddy learned that being kind was the best way to connect with others, and he no longer had to be afraid.
Freddy the Friendly Ghost and Lily became the best of friends, teaching each other about kindness and bravery. They showed everyone in the neighborhood that friends could come in all shapes, sizes, and... even ghostly forms!
