Dannah was a 7-year-old girl who lived with her parents in Kuwait. One day after school, she sighed, "Dad, the girls are mean to me! They won't play with me. I want to go back to my happy school!" Her father knelt down and said, "Dannah, you have a brave heart. Let's turn this around together! You will learn to talk to them and make new friends!" With hope in her eyes, Dannah nodded.
The next day, Dannah walked into school ready to try. She saw the other girls playing and took a deep breath. "Hi, can I join you?" she said with a smile. The girls looked surprised. One girl responded, "Sure! Would you like to play hopscotch?" Dannah's heart soared with joy. She realized that with her father's guidance, she could face her fears and enjoy school again.
As the days passed, Dannah played with the girls every afternoon. They laughed and sang songs together, and Dannah felt happier each day. She even taught them a new game she had learned from her old school. The other girls loved it and cheered, "Dannah, you're the best!" Dannah's heart felt warm and full of joy.
One afternoon, Dannah noticed a new girl sitting by herself on the swings. Dannah remembered how it felt to be alone, so she walked over with a smile. "Hi, I'm Dannah. Do you want to join us? We can play hopscotch!" The new girl smiled shyly and nodded. Dannah was proud to use her brave voice to help someone else.
From that day on, Dannah knew she could face any challenge with kindness and courage. She loved her new school and was glad to have so many friends. Her father beamed with pride when she told him all about her adventures. "You truly have a brave heart, Dannah," he said. And Dannah knew it was true.
