Clara and her friends were excited for the picnic. They planned it all week. They packed sandwiches, fruits, and some yummy treats. Everyone was ready to have fun in the park. It was a perfect day, sunny and bright.

As they arrived, dark clouds suddenly appeared in the sky. Clara looked worried as it started to drizzle. "Oh no!" she exclaimed. The other kids frowned too. They had to think quickly, or their picnic would be ruined.

Clara had an idea! "Let’s find a big tree to shelter under!" she suggested. The friends all agreed, and they started running toward a tall oak tree not far away. The rain grew heavier, but they were determined.

When they reached the oak tree, they were all soaked! They huddled together, laughing and shivering. "This isn’t what I imagined!" giggled Lily, Clara's best friend. They looked around for a new place to enjoy their picnic.

Clara spotted a bright red barn in the distance. "Maybe we can check there!" she said. The friends nodded and took off running. They splashed through puddles, their laughter echoing in the rain.

As they reached the barn, they saw it was old but warm inside. A farmer greeted them with a smile, offering them a dry spot. "You’re welcome to have your picnic here!" he said. The friends cheered at their luck!

They pulled out their food and set up their picnic on a hay bale. The scent of fresh apples surrounded them. Clara started to tell funny stories, and everyone burst into laughter. The barn felt cozy and safe.

Suddenly, the rain stopped! They rushed outside to see a beautiful rainbow painting the sky. "Look!" shouted Tom. "It’s the perfect backdrop for our picnic!" They all ran out, feeling cheerful and amazed.

They decided to play games in the green fields near the barn. They played tag and tossed a frisbee, forgetting all about the rain. The picnic turned out to be the best day ever!
