Once upon a time, in a tiny village by the sea, there lived a kind fisherman. Every day he cast his net, hoping for a big catch. His life was simple, but he was happy with what he had, especially with his dear wife beside him.

One day, while fishing, he caught a sparkling, magical fish. The fish spoke, saying, "Let me go, and I will grant you three wishes!" The fisherman was surprised but decided to free the fish. He returned home to tell his wife.

His wife was not happy. "Why didn't you wish for something?" she asked. "We could have riches!" The fisherman thought about it. His wife urged him to go back and ask the fish for a wish.

So, he went back to the shore and called out to the fish. "O magical fish, I wish for a big house!" The fish granted his wish, and the fisherman returned home to find a beautiful house waiting for them.

His wife was delighted, but soon she wanted more. "This house is nice, but we need to be the richest!" So, the fisherman asked the fish again, "I wish for great wealth!" The fish granted the wish once more. They were now very rich!

But greed consumed his wife. "I want to be a queen!" she declared. The fisherman hesitated but obeyed her wishes. He said, "O magical fish, make my wife a queen!" The fish granted this wish too.

Suddenly, they were in a grand castle, but it didn't feel right. The wife was still not satisfied. She wanted more power. The fisherman felt uneasy, but he knew he had to try again.

"Make me the ruler of all!" she screamed. The fisherman called the fish once more. After this wish, they were back at the shore, but everything was gone – their riches, their house, their happiness.
