Max quickly darted into the kitchen, a place filled with delicious smells. He spotted a big block of cheese on the counter. "If I can just reach that cheese, I will be the happiest mouse!" he thought. But as he climbed up the cabinet, he heard Mittens sneak up behind him. "Gotcha, little mouse!" she called out. Max's heart raced, but with a clever twist, he jumped into a tiny hole, leaving the frustrated cats behind. "You may be fast, but I'm smarter!" he squeaked, laughing.
