Percy the penguin looked at the water with big, worried eyes. It was his first swimming lesson, and he felt nervous and small. The waves crashed gently, splashing tiny droplets everywhere. He wanted to swim so badly, but what if he couldn't?
Ellie the seal splashed beside him, her smile bright. "Don't worry, Percy! Swimming is fun!" she said, flipping in the water. Percy watched her with wide eyes, admiring how easily she moved. He wished he could be like her.
Just then, Toby the whale swam close, making big waves. "Percy, you'll be great! Just take a deep breath!" he encouraged. Percy looked at Toby’s friendly eyes and felt a little better. His friends believed in him, and that made him feel warm inside.
Percy took a step forward. The water was cold and tickled his toes, but he felt brave with his friends around. Ellie and Toby cheered him on from the water, making funny faces to keep him smiling. Percy giggled and felt like he could do it.
With a big splash, Percy jumped in! The water surrounded him, and he felt scared but excited. He paddled his little flippers and kicked his feet. Ellie raced around him, guiding him with her joyful yelps. "You’re doing it!" she shouted.
Percy began to swim! It was not so scary anymore. He flapped his flippers and felt the water lift him. "I’m swimming!" he squeaked happily. Toby cheered from above, making waves that danced around him.
As he swam faster, he forgot about his nerves. The water felt like a soft blanket, and he loved how it shimmered under the sun. He was now a brave little penguin, enjoying every moment of his swim with his friends.
Ellie and Toby played games with him in the water, diving and splashing. They laughed and cheered together, telling stories about their adventures. Percy felt happy and proud, knowing he was part of this fun.
When the lesson was over, Percy climbed out of the water, his heart full of joy. "Thank you, Ellie and Toby! You made me brave!" he said, hugging his friends tightly. They smiled, knowing they helped him find his courage.
From that day on, Percy loved swimming. He realized that sometimes all you need is a little help from friends to be brave. And together, they made the best team, ready for more adventures in the ocean.
