Mistress Eva glided down the school hall like a queen. Her long dark hair swayed like a river of silk as she smiled at her friends. "Hello, everyone! Ready for today’s quiz?" she asked with a bright smile. Many students gathered around her, admiring her confidence and kindness. But in the corner, a couple of other students whispered, feeling a twinge of envy. "Look at her. She thinks she’s so perfect!" one whispered. Eva didn’t notice; she was too busy helping her friends with their studies. She loved sharing her knowledge and lifting others up.
As Eva walked into the classroom, everyone turned their heads. She knew she had a special sparkle about her. The teacher asked, "Who wants to give the presentation?" Eva raised her hand. "I’ll do it!" she said proudly. As she spoke, her passion lit up the room. Some students clapped and cheered, while others rolled their eyes, feeling jealous. "I wish I could be that smart," one sighed. Eva knew it wasn’t easy to be admired by many and envied by others. She took a deep breath and smiled, reminding herself that kindness and humility made her truly shine.
During recess, Eva noticed Lily sitting alone under the big oak tree. Her eyes looked sad, and she was scribbling in her notebook. Eva walked over and sat beside her. 'Hi, Lily! What are you drawing?' Eva asked gently. Lily hesitated, then showed Eva her picture of a colorful garden. 'That's beautiful!' Eva exclaimed, her genuine admiration shining through. Lily smiled, feeling a bit happier with Eva's kind words.
After school, Eva decided to invite Lily to join her and her friends at the park. 'We’d love to have you with us,' Eva said, her voice warm and welcoming. Lily felt a flutter of excitement and nodded. 'Okay, I’d like that,' she replied shyly. As they played and laughed together, Lily realized that Eva's special sparkle came from her heart, and she felt lucky to be part of this new friendship.
The next day at school, Eva saw Lily confidently raising her hand during class. The teacher called on her, and Lily's answer was met with smiles and nods of approval. Eva beamed with pride, knowing that a little kindness could grow into something wonderful. 'You did great, Lily!' Eva whispered as they packed up for the day. And from that day on, Eva and Lily walked the halls together, sharing their light with everyone they met.
